Ford Kuga into Scratchmaster for repairs to the passenger side and new door.
The colour is Race Red which is quite a technical colour to match into the existing car body colour.
With most manufacturers colour schemes this will be either a three stage colour or possibly a colour finished off with tinted lacquer.
At Scratchmaster we use both systems.
These types of colours are most often these candy red colours but can also be white or sometimes blues.
These colours are considerably more expensive to use when re-finishing a vehicle.
With the tinted lacquer system the car has to be painted then the base colour coat gradually tinted with potentially many coats of the tinted clear.
Best practice is to then go over the tinted lacquer with two coats of regular clear lacquer to seal and give uv protection.
More materials more labour and sadly more cost.
