This paint and repair job was difficult mostly down to a previous repair on the front door which you can see is totally wrong.
The customer had the door repaired at another workshop and the painter has painted solely the door.
In truth this Renault colour is difficult to master and blend properly with the existing car paint colour.
The colour (Orange Valencia) is a two coat system that uses a tinted clear coat on top of base coat in order to achieve the correct colour.
You can see from the pictures the colour basecoat before the tinted clear lacquer is applied.
It’s not an easy process and should raise alarm bells to anyone not experienced in applying it.
In addition to putting the door right there we’re several other repairs to the wing and 1/4 panels that needed fixing.
You can see that we have completed the bodywork repairs and painted the side of the car and it matches perfectly the existing car paint.
